K-Class heavy lift transport vessels
Vuyk Engineering Rotterdam and Kahn Shipping have a long tradition of cooperation and have developed the latest series of heavy lift vessels for Jumbo Shipping: Jumbo Kinetic and Fairmaster.
This started more than 10 years ago with the development of the H-class vessels and was continued with the J-class vessels. The success of the J-class finally resulted in 4 vessels of this type. The success of these vessels has been the basis of the development of the K-class.
Specifications
Also the crane capacity has increased with each class step. The H-class vessels started with 2 x 400 ton cranes, whereas the J-class vessels were equipped with 2 x 800 ton cranes. With the K-class Kahn Shipping shows their desire to expand and increase capacity by installing 2 x 1 500 ton cranes on these vessels.
