To meet the needs of the rapidly evolving oil and gas industry – both onshore and offshore needed two new vessels.
The well-known heavy lift specialist Jumbo ordered two new vessels at Damen Shipyards Galatz in Romania. With a combined lift capacity of 1 600 tons, the vessels were ready for the market's need for greater lift capacity and outreach.
Specifications
Due to the success of the vessels and the demands from the market, Jumbo Shipping decided to order two sister vessels, which were delivered 5 years after the first. The Jumbo Javelin is a large vessel with motion characteristics that allows safe working in the harshest offshore environments.
