Since our new market position, about a year ago due to our new owner, Vuyk managed to grow and develop their business activities and we see enough potential globally to expand even further. Therefore Vuyk Engineering Rotterdam is looking for a Sales Manager, who can help to develop our organization and commercial team into the next phase.

As a Sales Manager, you’ll be the main point of contact for our customers regarding acquisition, business development, tendering, proposals and marketing. Your responsibilities start at the beginning of the sales process and runs until the projects are finished. In this process you’ll cooperate with the commercial director, technical sales managers and project managers where your focus will be on the commercial and contract/agreement side. 
For this role it’s important to have affinity with the maritime industry, that you’re able to operate both independently as well as in a team and that you’re willing to travel in Europe on a regular basis and Worldwide a few times a year. 

-    Develop new and existing business activities in focus areas;
-    Visiting prospects/customers and informing them about the possibilities and creating the needs.
-    Drafting and issuing quotations; collecting the necessary data from various departments for the purpose of drawing up a quotation, determining the price and the conditions in cooperation with the technical sales managers or commercial director.
-    Drafting/adjusting contracts and terms and conditions.
-    Maintain contact with the Project Manager during the project and support in (possible) discussions between the customer and Project Team.
-    Improve internal commercial activities and cooperation.

-    A bachelor or Msc. Degree in (commercial) business administration or comparable;
-    A couple of years’ experience in long term sales procedures / methods. You're looking for a second or third step in your career.
-    A strong link and interest in the maritime industry;
-    Entrepreneur;
-    Excellent skills in Dutch and English, both verbal and written;
-    Willingness to travel frequently
-    Flexible attitude
