Are you an experienced controller who can manage all financial processes of multiple businesses within in international setting? And can you switch between a strategic and operational mindset, where you take initiative to improve our financial processes? We would like to get in touch.

Vuyk Engineering Rotterdam is currently looking for a financial controller. In this role you’re responsible for all financial reports, financial data, contract management etc. where your responsibilities are a mix of both strategic and operational tasks. You will advise the board and supervisory board on company KPI’s, financial reports & business data, both on internal projects and processes as well as investments opportunities. Together with the financial team (4FTE) which consist of a project controller, assistant controller and two accounting officers you’ll make sure all processes run smoothly and align with all legislation.

As Financial Controller you also will be part of the MT and you’ll play an important part in the continuation and optimization of our company. Therefore, we aim for someone who has a strong financial background and who has experience with building and collecting all necessary data to create insightful reports that can be used to steer and manage the company’s decisions. You will have a broad variety of responsibilities, a role where you can be strategic, operational and creative and be directly involved in management decisions and can take initiative to transfer market developments into new business opportunities.

For this role we’re aiming for someone who wants to work in a mid-sized company, which is growing and is developing business abroad in an international setting. You’re someone who communicates easily, takes initiatives for improvements and feels comfortable in a MT role who advises the (supervisory) board.

  • Managing, providing and developing financial reports and business data for the (supervisory) board as well as project managers;
  • Transferring finance and business data into new business opportunities, both internal and external;
  • Contract management for internal processes (facility for example);
  • Operational tasks like administration, invoicing, project administration etc.
  • Managing and developing the finance department

  • A BSc or Msc in Business Administration, Finance or comparable;
  • Around 10 years of experience in strategic and operational financial reports and data;
  • Experience with ERP systems, legal and contract management;
  • A creative and assertive mindset to develop new opportunities;
  • Excellent skills in Dutch and English, both verbally and written.
