Vuyk Engineering is currently looking for an International Sales Manager who wants to contribute to the development and growth of the company activities. Vuyk has been able to grow and develop its business as an independent engineering company the last couple of years’ and now we are at the start of a new phase. We have recently established new offices abroad and are expanding our business. Let us know if you would like to be part of these (international) developments.
Your responsibilities start with analyzing the markets, identify business opportunities, formulate sales plans including (prospect) client pursuit plans to secure new contracts for Vuyk. In this process you’ll cooperate with the commercial director, technical sales managers, marketing manager and project managers where your focus will be on acquisition and the contract/agreement side. You are an excellent communicator, a self-starter and a team player who likes to win. During the projects you’ll remain in touch with the clients and project managers about the progress and the contract agreement.
For this role we’re aiming for someone who is especially experienced in Sales processes, preferably with a background in large(r) investments, running your “own shop” and not afraid for acquisition. You’re looking for your second or third step in your career and you’re willing to travel internationally on a regular basis.
A background and/or affinity in the maritime industry would be a plus.
- Develop new business activities in focus areas;
- Establishing, maintaining and expanding relationships with prospects/customers and other relevant contacts.
- Drafting and issuing quotations; collecting the necessary data from various departments for the purpose of drawing up a quotation, determining the price and the conditions in cooperation with the technical sales managers or commercial director.
- Drafting/adjusting contracts and terms and conditions.
- Maintain contact with the Project Manager during the project and support in (possible) discussions between the customer and Project Team.
- Improve internal commercial activities and cooperation
- A bachelor or Msc. Degree in (commercial) business administration or comparable;
- A couple of years’ experience in sales procedures / methods, preferably in long term investments;
- A strong link and interest in the maritime industry;
- Customer-oriented and market-oriented, analytical mindset, multi-level communication skills and entrepreneurial
- Excellent skills in Dutch and English, both verbal and written;
- Fulltime availability and willingness to travel frequently
- Excellent salary and working conditions

- Working on state of the art projects within the maritime industry with a high variety of projects to work on
- Working in an experienced team (average experience 10+ years)
